Today was a beautiful sunny day... unexpected since the forecast expected snow. After a good run, I treated myself in a good way, with an american coffee, a chocolate muffin and a piece of chocolate with blackberry and ginger, which I bought at Cioccoshow. This particular chocolate comes from Belgium, a land dedicated to the production of chocolate. I like to eat this type of chocolate in the middle of the day because the taste of blackberry and ginger leave me a nice flavor in my mouth. Along with this tablet of blackberry and ginger I bought another one flavored lemon and pepper ... just special and tasty it’s definitely more spicy. These chocolates are produced by a Belgian company called Kim's chocolates whici is based in Tienen, Belgium, a town about 31 miles from Brussels. 

The company started in 1987 thanls to Mr. Fons Maex and over the years has developed keeping on believing in the passion for chocolate. Today the firm employs 100 people. The bars under the brand Cachet, of course are not the only product ... there are also pralines, and stuffed tablets that are sold under the name of KC Chocolatier. 

All the chocolate manufactured by Kim's chocolates is done according to the Belgian tradition and the ingredients are carefully selected and it’s strictly prohibited the use of preservatives and genetically modified agents. 

I must say I am very happy to have tasted chocolate by Kim's chocolates and even if we talk about an industrial manufacturer there is no doubt about the quality of the product. On the site there are also some nice video showing the production.. and even if it’s not as charming as the laboratory one, it is interesting to see how the chocolates are produced in large scale.

Oggi è stata una bellissima giornata di sole...inaspettata visto che le previsioni meteo prevedano neve. Dopo una bella corsa, mi sono regalata una buona merenda, caffè americano, muffin al cioccolato ed un pezzetto di cioccolato alle more e zenzero che ho comprato al Cioccoshow. Questa particolare cioccolata viene dal Belgio, una terra vocata alla produzione del cioccolato. Mi piace molto mangiare questa cioccolata a metà giornata perché il gusto di mora e zenzero regalano un piacevole sapore al palato. Insieme a questa barretta more e zenzero ne ho comprata un’altra al limone e pepe...altrettanto particolare e saporita... senza ombra di dubbio più piccante. Queste cioccolate sono prodotte da una ditta belga che si chiama Kim’s chocolates  e si trova a Tienen, in Belgio, una cittadina a 50 km da Bruxelles.

L’azienda ha iniziato l'attività nel 1987 grazie al Sig. Fons Maex e nel corso degli anni si e sviluppata credendo nella propria passione per il cioccolato e arrivando ad aver e oggi qualcosa come 100 persone al proprio servizio. Le barrette che fanno capo al brand Cachet, naturalmente non sono l'unico prodotto...ci sono anche praline, tavolette ripiene che vengono vendute con il nome di KC Chocolatier.

Tutto il cioccolato prodotto da Kim’s chocolates  è lavorato secondo la tradizione belga e gli ingredienti sono accuratamente selezionati ed è severamente proibito l’utilizzo di conservanti e agenti geneticamente modificati.

Devo dire che sono molto contenta di aver assaggiato il cioccolato di Kim’s chocolates e anche se parliamo di un produttore industriale non si può negare la qualità del prodotto. Sul sito ci sono anche video molto carini che mostrano la produzione..e anche se non è così affascinante come può essere quella dei laboratori artigianali, è comunque interessante per capire come vengono prodotti i cioccolatini in grande scala.
